Dr. Chinmayi Nath is a professional artist and an author with a deep passion for both contemporary Indian and Western art, working across a variety of surfaces and mediums. She completed her PhD in Geology from Utkal University, India, and later completed a Level 3 Diploma in Art & Design from the University of the Arts, London, UK. She is based in Essex. She has exhibited her paintings in numerous art exhibitions across the UK over the past 20 years and has also held solo exhibitions in India. Her work includes commissioned paintings for organisations and individuals, creation of book cover designs, delivery of art workshops—both virtual and in-person—for beginners as well as advanced learners, jewellery design & fabric art.

In 2018, she was awarded “Best Acrylic Artist of the Year” by the Southend Art Club, Essex, for her painting Giles Family, which is highly appreciated by viewers. She was selected to participate in Landscape Artist of the Year in both 2022 and 2026 under the wildcard competition category on Sky Arts, UK, and was also chosen for the Southend Portrait Artist competition in 2025. Odisha Lalit kala Academy, India has awarded Chinmayi as a young artist at state level. Her artworks have been published in the International Journal of Geriatric Care and Research (JGRC) and Srujan: The Creativity Journal.

In addition to the present work, she is the author of  two art books : “Creative Art—A Distinct Approach to Drawing & Painting” and " Expressing & Experimenting with Palm Leaf Art". Chinmayi has devoted significant time and interest in exploring the unique ancient palm leaf etching art of India. The palm leaf art book not only traces the history of palm leaf etching but also inspires readers to learn this fascinating process and explore the limitless possibilities of creativity. The book is in British Library and also available worldwide in Amazon.​​
